Thank you for Praying Thank you for praying for our Eastern NC Poverty Network. We, on a daily basis, see God at work in our lives. Whether it is working with a homeless man, providing food or clothing for someone in need, or working with our churches, we see miracles happen. You have heard missionaries say the most important thing you can do is to pray. We echo that sentiment. Thank you for praying for us.
Do you have your copy of Prayers For The People?
Our 150 Global Field Personnel ask for your prayers for we know the importance of prayer to our ministry. We have copies available and will be happy to supply you with a copy so you will be able to pray for each one of us.
Thank You For Giving Thank you for your consistent prayers, faithful giving and meaningful service alongside our ministry in Northeastern NC. God is at work in the world, and when you participate with us in ministry, you join God in that work.
At this time of year, many of you make an extra gift to the CBF Offering for Global Missions. During this economic downturn, your gift, while sacrificial on your part, has the potential to have more impact on the lives of the people who live at the margins around the world. There are 300 million more people living in poverty now than when the global recession began.
Please consider making an online gift now through CBF's secure giving site, or you can mail your gift to Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, P.O. Box 101699, Atlanta, Ga., 30392. Be sure to indicate "CBF Offering for Global Missions" in the memo line.
May God richly bless you, your church, your family and all the ways you are using your passion to participate in God's mission.
Thank You for Learning
We are planning to host a poverty simulation called Plunge 2 Poverty. We invite you to join us at the next simulation experience, March 4-5, 2011, at Rosemary Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids!
The cost of the simulation is $25, and the time is Friday at noon through noon Saturday. This is an excellent time of education for participants as we discuss rural poverty. Part of the experience will be to help distribute food to those in need at Union Mission. A time to serve and a time to learn. We need a minimum of two participants per church and are limited to 30 total. Please click this link for further information and registration: WMU Registration
